Portable Diesel Generators for Pump Stations:

- Cost: Project Cost - $4,000,000, Cost of Generators and Associated Facilities - $300,000 (estimated)
City of Thousand Oaks decided to upgrade ten existing pump stations involving 25 individual pumps ranging in size from 20 HP to 100 HP. Upgrades at each pump station included new electrical equipment, controls, new buildings, retrofit of existing buildings, modification of pipelines, and similar other improvements.
In addition to these improvements the city decided to procure additional portable diesel generator to power existing pump stations. Each facility was provided with an electrical plug to connect portable generator to operate the facility during power outages.
Perliter & Ingalsbe provided a full range of services for the project, involving preliminary design, final design, and construction management.

- Camlock type electrical plug to connect to portable generator

- 300 KW, 480VAC diesel generator with 1800 rpm engine

Scope of Work:

- Generator was sized and required to power all critical load including:
- 480VAC switchgear and power system
- 240/120 switchboard and power system
- Pumps
- Lights and receptacles
- Instrumentation and controls
- Trailer to mount and transport diesel generator
