Pump Stations Improvements for Fire Protection:
- Owner: La Cañada Irrigation District
- Cost: $790,000
Perliter & Ingalsbe performed a study to determine fire hazards at five select pump stations and three standby generators operated by La Cañada Irrigation District. The study revealed that two pump stations and two standby generators were vulnerable if future fire events should occur. Improvements were recommended to increase fire safety at these facilities.
In addition to the improvements for fire safety, electrical, structural, piping, and general site improvements were also considered for these aging facilities. Following initial study, Perliter & Ingalsbe was engaged to perform detail design of improvements at three facilities. A complete construction management service, including continuous on-site inspection was also provided by Perliter & Ingalsbe.
