Castle Road Pump Station Improvements:

Perliter & Ingalsbe performed a study to determine required improvements for the existing aging Castle Road Pump Station for LCID. Electrical, structural, civil, mechanical, and site improvements were recommended to the District and adopted by the Board.

Perliter & Ingalsbe was engaged to perform detail design of the proposed improvements at Castle Road Pump Station. A complete construction management service, including continuous on-site inspection was also provided by Perliter & Ingalsbe.

Major Components and Special Features:


  • Replace existing wall enclosure around pumps and diesel generator with a new masonry building with three large rooms and approximately, 1050 square feet area
  • Replace aged and outdated electrical switchgear, MCC, and control panels with new
  • Replace overhead electrical service from SCE with new underground service
  • Install temporary power and control systems to maintain continuous operation of the existing pump station during entire course of the construction
  • Install new conduits, wires, and lighting




  • Install louvers, fans, skylights, etc. for new building
  • Replace existing aged and/or damaged piping and valves with new
  • Painting and coating
  • General site improvements, including ac paving, fence, concrete curb and gutters, ditches, sliding gates, yard lighting, security features, etc.
