Three Hydropneumatic Pump Stations Improvements:

City of Thousand Oaks engaged Perliter & Ingalsbe to address delivery of fire flow to several of its hydropneumatic pressure zones. As part of initial planning/study, Perliter & Ingalsbe recommended to install fire pumps at three hydropneumatic pump station sites. In addition, other mechanical and site improvements were also considered at each site.
The City engaged Perliter & Ingalsbe to perform detail design and provide construction management service for three hydropneumatic pump station sites improvements.
Major Components and Special Features:

- Corrosion analysis of existing hydropneumatic tanks (all were subsequently replaced under this project)
- Addition of new and replacement of existing vertical turbine and split casing pumps and motors
- Three 1,000 gpm diesel driven emergency fire flow pumps with bypass lines
- Electrical and control equipment inventory and analysis
- Tying into and modifying existing electrical and control equipment
- Pump and tank control valves and related piping

- Refurbishment of existing underground vault
- New flow meters
- New emergency power receptacles
- New security gate and general site improvements
- Temporary power and control systems at select locations
